Hooksway Toddle. At first sight you could be forgiven for thinking this little 2 miler would be a doddle toddle, but it has its surprises. With some very pleasant scenery and a few chocolate box cameos it really has a pleasant charm and is included in our portfolio for these reasons. There are two distinct ways to do this walk. Before lunch go clockwise and after (on a full stomach) its better to go anti clockwise.

Clock wise       Go back up the road that you came in on and turn right on the lane that continues to rise for a little while yet. (point 1).

Carry on up the path for about ½ a mile and turn left (the path takes you this way) and turn right at the finger post. (point 2)

This leads to a fork in the path yours is the right-hand fork (point 3)

Carry on down this path into an open area. There is a path at this point going off to your right, ignore this and carry on to the gate go through the gate and just a squeeze up the hill and you will see a gate going down and to your right (point 4)

Now it’s a case of walk as the crow flies and you will reach the pub and a well-earned pint.

Anti-clock wise. Dare we say it, the same rules apply, but in reverse

This walk is prepared in co-operation with the
